Ceremonial "T" Necklaces are worn by young Apache girls during the Sunrise Ceremony, the puberty rite of passage to Apache womanhood.  It is a very beautiful ceremony and the girls are instructed to lead a life of beauty, harmony and virtue.   Crown Dancers (Gaan) are part of this ceremony.  Carvings of these Mountain Spirit Dancers may be seen on our carvings page.
